Maumee Bay Lodge & Conference Center is pleased to share that we have significantly improved the guest check-in and check-out experience. Thanks to our new partnership with Simpello, you can now skip the lines and check into your room without touching your wallet—as long as your phone is on you.

Our new proximity-based technology is designed to save you time on your way in and out the door. Simply download the Great Ohio Lodges mobile app for your device, create a secure account, and prepare to breeze through check-in. Before you arrive, download the app and create a secure profile, including an ID token, a facial token, and a payment method. Once you create a profile, the app will immediately communicate with us to establish hands-free check-in at our property.

How It Works

Here's the cool part. By the time you arrive at Maumee Bay Lodge & Conference Center with your Great Ohio Lodges profile, you'll be ready for a frictionless, hands-free check-in experience. Here's how it works:

1. When you arrive, simply approach the terminal at our front desk.
2. Once in our Bluetooth radius, your phone will automatically send your facial token to our Kiosk. No need to remove it from your pocket or purse.
3. The Kiosk will take a scan of your face to ensure it matches your facial token.
4. Once your identity and payment method are confirmed, it will ask you to confirm your stay dates and how many keys you need. Your profile and booking information will display on-screen.
5. The Kiosk will log you out as soon as you step away from the screen.

Our mobile app uses token security technology (similar to the blockchain technology behind cryptocurrencies) to keep your personal data 100% anonymous.
